In the second session of my sewing class I decided to get started with applique and reverse applique to create my own textile. I got inspired by the many samples that are on display in the classroom. I took photos of some of this:








Below is the start I made. It took me almost 2.5h to select fabrics from the stash and to cut and sew this:

I have started adding fabric in the shape of flowers and will work on it more to create something with ‘a lot going on’.
