The Travelling Zine Library UK

What is it? The Travelling Zine Library UK is a small library containing a rotation of zines. Zines are small magazines often made using simple methods, made in small numbers. The topics and content vary widely.

How does it work? The zine library travels to different venues to stay for about one month at a time. Visitors to the venue may read the zines free of charge. The zines may not be taken away from the venue but remain part of the collection. Nobody makes any money from this as I am doing this as a passion project with the aim to offer to many people the opportunity to read a wide range of zines.

Find out where the library now is by looking for a recent post about the library on my Instagram @almalauhacrafts.

If you own or run a venue and you are interested in hosting this zine library, please get in touch! For now I am mainly looking at Rossendale and Lancashire as a whole, but anywhere else within about a one-hour drive from Bacup (Rossendale) can work.

If you would like to donate zine(s) to this library, either visit the library and put your donation(s) in it, or contact me so we can arrange something via the post. Thanks in advance!
(PS: The only zines I can't accept are zines with explicitly or graphically sexual contents, as the library will be in places that are also visited by kids and teens.)
